ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY OF 'SENEGE' PLANT
Polyethylenephthalate (PET) is synthesized as a product of polycondensation reaction between terephthalic acid and a bulk of ethylene glycol with a presence of catalysator and with water as a side product. This reaction occurs under deep vacuum at temperature about 300°С.
From the design stage and design documents approval environment safety of the project was considered vitally important for overall success.
Technological equipment for the plant was procured from well known manufacturers - Swiss-German companies Inventa-Fischer GmbH and Buhler AG. Both companies are world leaders in the field of development of technological processes for polymers production as well as manufacturing of efficient and reliable equipment to produce polymers.
It took two years to select suppliers during which the market research, PET technology comparison analysis, physical and chemical testing of preforms and PET bottles were conducted. The selected supplier provided not only equipment for the plant but also technologies and engineering services.
Since production started environmental safety of New polymers plant 'SENEGE' is always in focus of plant management attention.
A number of expertise conducted at the design and operation stages of the plant demonstrates that New polymers plant 'SENEGE' satisfies all Russian sanitary norms as well as German standards on the maximum permissible pollution values.
Regular conducted measurements clearly shows that environmental impact of only 1 km of Moscow -St. Petersburg highway passing nearby is 300 times higher than impact from 'SENEGE' plant.
The high level of environment protection (99-100%) is achieved through the use of world best environmental safety technologies: filters, water absorbers, cyclones, catalysts. It is due to these technological achievements that 'SENEGE' discharge effluents satisfied the level 'suitable for fish production facilities'.
